Iran Mellas started production with the trademark of “Fariman” in May 1994. It was the first manufacturer of instant dry yeast (IDY) in Iran with the capacity of 2500 tons of instant dry yeast per year
The factory was built in a 60000 square meter land, with a 10000 square meter substructure. The technology was imported from Austria and implemented with cooperation of technicians of Andritz multinational company. Due to advanced technology and knowledge of experienced experts, the company’s products can compete with the best foreign products, and are outstanding between domestic products.
The first step
From the beginning, the policy of the company was to prioritize quality management to enhance products and satisfy the customers. So the iso 9002 certificate was obtained from NQA certification firm of England. In addition to this, an R&D department was established, which employed microbiology and biotechnology experts to improve the product quality. Also, to maintain stability of product quality, modern machinery were purchased and for vacuum packaging.
With the growing domestic and foreign demand, the company decided to increase the production capacity to more than 4000 tons per year, for this purpose the newest machinery were purchased from European countries such as Germany, Switzerland and Spain to accelerate quality improvement. Today Iran Mellas produces more than 11000 tons of top quality product based on years of experience, and in line with the new version of iso 9001: 2000.
